You want a dog with minimum upkeep, just join the kennel.

Coming to help with a small dog is often available to shop

for what attributes you like, go to their grooming shows,

handling shows, breed shows. Dog shows have tons of info.

As you read earlier mutts are unpredictable, even petstores

have lots of mixes, and that maybe the problem with allergics.

Mixed types can be at various stages of adjustments to petlife.

A really good first dog is a beagle. Small beagles are the

really well behaved and versatile dog. Good for shows,

handling and breeds, also fun to groom, they wear tuxedos.

Hahhhahaa have fun like I do, I go to 60 dog shows each year.

The nice thing about joining a kennel is they pay you if your

dog is real cute. Actually a first dog should be hardy.

You will definately want to cut the hair of any yorkie breed. They don't shed so the hair mats very easily and becomes painful to them. Brushing them daily will also help. Here's some great information their hair care:

You can cut their hair, however they will look funny. I have seen people do that,

My friend has a toy poodle, she is 9 lbs, and she is big for her breed. She doesnt shed, doesnt cause pet dander or anything like that. This dog is 9 years old and still runs like crazy in the backyard.

Why don't you get a small poodle - black or brown? They don't shed and are usually hypoallergenic. You can keep them in a puppy cut that is fairly cute.

Are you looking to cut a dog's hair or get a hypo-allergenic dog? Sounds like the latter...

Look into a poodle mix. They're quite popular and are considered hypo-allergenic, as they don't shed and do not have the undercoat that most people with dog allergies have problems with.

Any dog that you get will require regular grooming. It's just one of the many costs of being a dog owner.

Yes, any reputable groomer should be able to clip it really cute to compliment the features and hair texture of the mix. There are lots of mixes that are really cute and shed a lot less and have less dander making them more amenable to people with allergies that aren't too bad. Poodle mixes are often like that too. Like Pekingnese and Poodle mix.

NO SUCH THING as"hypo-allergenic" dogs!!!!!

Pure bred ***OR*** MUTT/MONGREL!!!!

NEVER pay a plugged nickel for *ANY* MUTT/MONGREL!!! Impossible to predict ANYTHING about MUTT/MONGRELS, which is the POINT of pure bred animals

Go to the AKC site %26lt;akc.org%26gt; %26amp; READ the BREED STANDARDS !!!!

I have a 7 year old Bichon Yorkie mix. The first year and a half she wasn't groomed but it took forever for her fur to grow when she was a puppy. Initially I trimmed her myself around her face to have her eyes visible. After realizing that she was getting too hot during the summer I took her to a groomer. She is trimmed like a schnauzer beginning in March. When it is cold she wears a sweater.

Size wise she is about 12 pounds and about a foot tall and about a foot and half long-although I swear she stretches to 2 1/2 fee when she lays down. Great personality and haven't had problems allergy wise for those friends who are allergic. Course she is brushed and washed prior to their visit. There is some shedding. Good luck.
