Hypothyroid? (its very common). Who knows, the question is to vague. You need to have him seen by a vet and do blood work.

Due to the fact that noone here is a vet I suggest you get your dog to the vet asap. Gasoline will cause him to loose his hair but you would smell it on him. Obviously whatever it is it is serious and rather than spending time on the internet talking to others I would be talking to a vet.

If he's starting to die, don't you think you should take him to a vet? I think his hair falling out is the least of your problems if you say he is dying. If your child was sick would you just let him sit there and die? Please take him to a vet right now!
