My daughter has a 10 mo. old male Pekingese it has been chewing on it's tail. His hair was very long on his tail and in just a couple of days he has chewed the hair off to almost within a half inch of his tail. What would cause him to do this is it medical or boredom??

Well he is a puppy be giving him chew bones and toys.....he is probably just being playful and bored. He could also have a skin condition. Get him to the doctor.
