Also she seems to be pulling hair from around her vaginal spot. Plus she seems so miserable.

I think that my dog is pregnant because she is starting to get really big and her bottom teats are swelling.?

Sounds pregnant....

But she doesn't have 2-3 months left, as a dog's gestation period only lasts 2 (9-10 weeks) months total.

She probably has somewhere between 1-3 weeks left.

Take care of those pups!

She is pregnant!

I have often thought my dog is pregnant but found out she is not. My dogs teats grew really big but it was just a stage of her growing up. It could be a false pregnancy as they are quite common. The dog herself would think she was pregnant but wouldn't be. She is miserable so it is best to take her to the vet. It could be a number of things, still not ruling out pregnancy. When was it when she mated? Work out how long it has been and see if the stage she is at sounds right to how she looks. The bitches gestation period is exactly nine weeks. Small breed dogs will start getting bigger around 5 weeks. With bigger breed dogs sometime they don't show much until the 6-7 week. Other signs are increased interest in food and water, tummy that is pushed against ribs, lying around more, and possible increase in urinating due to the enlarging uterus that is squishing the bladder. Other signs that the time is near are restlessness, and "nest making. Pregnant dogs and puppies are an extremely large responsibility so be as prepared as possible. Good luck!

There is no guarantee her being pregnant based on the fact her teats are swelling. Getting big can be a sign which you can easily find out by rubbing the tummy and feeling for kicks. If you cannot remember exactly when she had her last season, it is safe to assume that if she is pregnant, her appetite will increase quite considerably and she may display unusual behaviours, like looking for nesting ground. She probably is 6 weeks into the pregnancy which should make it easier for you to tell by testing her belly. The depression is an entirely different symptom. Dogs can get depressed with the change of the season and one can add St. John's Wort into the diet. K9 Hilton Herbs do an excellent winter variety.

If she is restless, try and get some alternative valerian or rescue remedy which drops you can add to her water. This is a harmless flower remedy without side affects. The pulling of hair from her ******** is entirely new to me. Never seen that with any of my b*tches, who were about to drop a litter.

Something may be wrong with her and obviously the usual suggestion of a trip to the vet may provide that which you need to know. You can try some Aloe Vera Gel in case it is just an innocent itch of a kind.

BTW it may help to make an extra fuss of her as she seems to be a little confused. There could be many reasons for this of course. TLC usually goes a long way.
