Even if you shave her you will probably still have flea eggs. They are very tricky buggers that will bounce around the clippers. To your question, yes her hair would grow back but you should consider getting her a good flea bath ASAP, go on revolution or a flea medication for a residual effect, and get spray to spray down everywhere she has been so your dogs do not contract the fleas. But if they have been in contact with each other, be sure to give your other dogs flea baths too.

Please do not shave the dog. It will not eliminate the flea problem.

Go to the vet and ask for "Advantage". It kills the fleas and flea larva almost instantly.

There is a herb know as flea bane or pennyroyale, Make a tea of it and spray all of your dogs with it also your home treat your yard with something, go to a garden shop they can give you the name of something. If you live in a cold part of the country the weather well take care of the yard. Treat it in the spring.

fleas are not like lice.. it has nothing to do with the dogs hair, other than they are harder to see. I suggest you get some good flea/tick shampoo and wash the dog thoroughly. Then use a product like frontline.. on all your pets to keep any infestation to a minimum. Sometimes adding brewers yeast and garlic to the food helps against fleas. You can buy that at most pet stores or online at Drs Foster and Smith pet catalog.

If you shave her, then yes her hair will grow back. But that's not going to get rid of the fleas. You should use something like Revolution (you have to get from a vet) or Frontline is a very good product, as well as Advantix. We recommend both of those that the clinic where i work. They will kill 95% of fleas within the first 24 hours. And she should be flea free by 48 hours. And these products last for 1 month, so they prevent her from getting anymore fleas for a month. And they are very safe to use. Good Luck! I hope you get rid of the fleas.

It's too cold to shave her, especially right now. Labs like to be warm and cold weather stresses them out, even with their coats. Take her to the vet and get her dipped, or you can buy the stuff to do it at home in your bathtub. It will kill the fleas immediately and save her some dignity. They really don't like being "naked."

NO! Don't shave her. Call a grooming salon and make an appt for her to get bathed and dipped for fleas. Make SURE that the groomer's use a product that will make it okay to put Frontline, Advantage or Bio Spot on a few days after the bath. You should be able to take the dog home without worrying about spreading fleas to your other dogs after the grooming. Treat all your dogs with anti flea treatment. Also, get the dog wormed. Fleas are how tapeworms are spread. You also want to be sure and have her checked for heartworms and then give heartworm preventative to her as recommended by the Vet.

There is no need to shave her. There are many ways to get rid of fleas, sprays, dips, bathes, collars but regardless of how you rid the dog of fleas you MUST kill the fleas where the dog lives. A yard spray, spread granules, dust or what you feel is the best treatment for where you live.

It must be followed by a second application about 14 days later so that you are following the life cycle of the flea. You killed the majority of the fleas with the first application and the second is to kill off any new babies and eggs.

Don't shave her, that will only embarrass her.

Bath her good and use Frontline Plus or some other Flea product .You can get all these things from the Vet. Her Enviroment, Yard, Home Ect needs to be Sprayed for fleas, Her bedding washed and the lady you gave her to warned that if she doesnt do better by her..You will take her back.
