Any help or advice anyone? I have a 2 year old Pom and she is shedding her hair like nothing else - its everywhere!! I really dunno what to do but its driving me nuts...!

Poms do shed a lot, especially this time of year. Give her a good brushing or you can take her to the groomers and have them do it.

my goldens and aussies shed twice a year.. very normal,, brush as often as you can to expedite things,, will only last a few weeks...

She's a dog, sometimes they shed. Dogs shed a lot twice a year. Brush her well everyday until shedding season is over.

Get a groomer's loop, and or a groomer's rake--that will remove the undercoat (which is shedding)!

I have 5 rescued aussies %26amp; boy can they shed!!!! I use both tools on them %26amp; it helps a LOT!! good luck

put blankets over your furniture or keep her outside. if you put blankets over the furniture, make sure they are blankets you don't care about. or you can go to petsmart and get a brush and brush all of her extra fur off.

Give the dog a damn good brush! its loosing it coat ready for another season all dogs do it you have just got to keep ontop of the brushing. Wash your dog then when dried most of the dead hair will come to the top making it easier for you to get rid of more.

Buy a different dog food. Bad nutrition equals constant shedding. I suggest Pedigree. Avoid giving her treats or table scraps. Only feed her her dog food.

The dog Might also be allergic to something. I had a friend who had a dog allergic to grass and had nasty skin and almost no hair.

If you've been giving her baths you might be giving her too many. Dogs need the oil on their fur, and by washing them too much the oil will come off and their fur will fall out (especially if it's flea soap) Only give her a bath once every 2 weeks.

Make sure you take her to the vet to get a check up and see if she's allergic to anything.

You might want to consider her diet....a lack of certain minerals and vitamins causes hair loss....check the label of the food you are feeding her, and be sure to ask your vet for any suppliments she may need. Good Luck!

Well, Summer is here and of course she will shed a lot. Best thing you can do is take a tiny car vaccuum, or a hose to the regular vaccuum, and drag it across her fur gently. To clean it up out of your carpet, broom or lint roller. Nothing else you can really do besides shaving her. Lol. We're thinking about doing that to our outside K-9, right now.

my dog sheds loads too and what i do to prevent it getting everywhere is spend 10 mins each morning giving her a good brush then i hoover afterwards and my house stays reasonably hair free

It is american and designed to remove all the dead under coat on a dog.

You need to brush her really well, and start supplementing her food (which should be good quality to keep shedding to a minimum- try to get one that is grain free - no wheat, corn, beet pulp, etc.) with some Salmon Oil capsules. You can get them at the most grocery stores... I get mine at Wal-Mart. I use the Rexall brand. Use 1 capsule (1000mg.) for every 20 lbs. I poke a hole in the capsule and then put the oil on my dogs food. The Omega 3s are good for your dog's coat.

It might take a couple of weeks, but with the brushing and the O 3's... You will notice a big difference.

when ya brush ya dog check to see if the is skin in amongst it if their is she probably has dermatitis u will have to buy special shampoo to control the situation not threatening but very gross

Take your dog outside and brush it every day and just vacuum your house a lot so it doesn't end up in your two year old house, but you can't keep your dog from shedding, my dog shedds too and it seems like it will never stop so if you brush most of it out it won't fall all over your house, but trust me you will still haveto vacuum a lot with your two year old.

it could be that she is just shedding her winter coat in oder to be a bit cooler in the summer.

but if it seems too much for you are they are bald patches on your dog's body i would bring her to the vet and get her looked at.

Get a good quality medium stiff brush and brush really good with that and you can also get a #40 clipper blade and brush with that which will remove an amazing amount of undercoat. I have a pit mix and great dane that I use the clipper blade on and I still get amazed at how much hair I get from them. You can also have a groomer do this -they call it carding and most places charge around $15.

It's the change in the weather and i have also noticed with my pets the central heating going on and off confuses them aswell, just give him a brush regularly that should keep it under control and i know it's not advisable in the bad weather to bath them but that should help you too.. my neighbour has two pom's and she brushes them every day to keep on top of the casting also if your dog isn't scared of the hoover give him a quick hoover every day that should gather up any excess loose hair.....

not too much you can do about it. i use a product called vitashine. it is an omega 3 fatty acid. it helps a little but there are still hairs everywhere.

My two year old pom boy does the same thing...usually with poms you have to brush them 3-4 times a week, and vacuum about 1 a week...thats what i have to do.....she may be just shedding her winter coat...my boy is.

Do not be fooled into buying any products either. I tried to buy those dog shampoos that are "suppose" to minimize shedding. No way. Before you give your dog a bath, give her a really good brushing and then bath her. That will somewhat help until she eases down on the shedding.
