What is disgusting about body hair?

Why don't people shave their cats, dogs, hamsters etc? I have seen several females on Yahoo answers suggesting that the hair we naturally grow on our bodies is disgusting, I don't understand this point of view, please enlighten me.

There is nothing wrong with body hair It should be a persons own preference, I am a female and only shave below the knee. I cosiderate it natural and normal. I have had men and women think it is strange, if they don't like it heck with them.

its just modern society... basicaly to fit in with the 'crowd' people will do whatever they think is normal (ie getting read of body hair)

but if you insist with disagreeing with getting rid of body hair than show an example by doing what you think is right....
